Crispy olives with burrata and Parma ham

20 minutes

Crispy olives with burrata and parma ham: there is no better starter or appetizer dish. Olives, (cheese) burrata and Parma ham are my three favorite Italian appetizer ingredients and you can really go either way with them. This combo is delicious on the go, but also with a sandwich or toast.

Crispy olives with burrata and Parma ham

Crispy olives are a delicious and surprising snack perfect for drinks or as an appetizer. These olives are breaded in the oven with a combination of panko and Parmesan cheese, providing a crispy exterior and a rich taste experience.

The olives are first well-dried so that the breadcrumbs adhere well. The panko, a Japanese breadcrumb, gives an extra light and crunchy texture that is different from traditional breadcrumbs. Parmesan cheese adds a savory, umami flavor that takes the olives to the next level.

After breadcrumbing, the olives are baked in the oven until golden brown and crispy. This process is simple and quick, making it an ideal snack for unexpected visitors. The result is a delicious, crunchy treat that can be served hot or cold and is always to your liking. Perfect to pair with a glass of wine or other beverage of your choice.
