Italian bruschetta

The secret to this bruschetta is, of course, the amazing burrata, because - let's be honest - who doesn't love it? This cheese, from the Puglia region of Italy, is known for its soft creamy texture. The combination of peach, olive oil and basil make you think you are already sitting on an Italian terrace in the sun. So this dish is great to share with family or friends as a veggie appetizer.

Italian appetizer with burrata

This appetizer basically consists of crispy bruschetta, which you easily make with baguette or leftover old bread. Other than that, you only need a few ingredients, namely burrata, peach, honey or agave syrup and fresh basil. It is a good example of how Italian cuisine can create gourmet delights with just a few high-quality ingredients. Delicious as a light snack to accompany drinks, or as a summer side dish, for example with the barbecue.
