Today we are going to make our own Easter rolls! Easter is a wonderful time of year to get together with friends and family and enjoy a tasty Easter brunch. Whether you are hosting an intimate brunch for a small group or have a larger gathering planned, an Easter brunch is the perfect opportunity to enjoy good food and fellowship.

What goes into an Easter brunch?

A classic Easter brunch often consists of an assortment of savory and sweet dishes. Think freshly baked breads, croissants, egg dishes such as quiches or omelets, fresh fruit salads, yogurt with granola, cheese and charcuterie boards and, of course, chocolate Easter eggs and other sweets. You can also get creative with decorating Easter-themed dishes, such as a fruity Easter cake or cupcakes decorated with sugar flowers.

Besides the food, the atmosphere of the brunch is important. You can set the table with a colorful tablecloth, Easter decorations, such as flowers and cheerful napkins. For the children, you can organize an Easter egg hunt in the garden or create a craft corner where they can decorate Easter eggs.

Whether you brunch indoors or outdoors, make sure you have plenty of seating and a cozy setting. If weather permits, you can decorate an outdoor area with lights, pillows and blankets for a relaxed and informal atmosphere. An Easter brunch is a great opportunity to be together, enjoy good food and celebrate with loved ones. With a well-planned brunch and attention to detail, you can create an unforgettable Easter experience for everyone to enjoy.

Making your own Easter rolls

Personally, I'm especially a fan of all things food-related. With brunch you can really go all out and that's what I like to do. I prefer to make the sandwiches myself and this recipe makes that really easy. Do you also want to impress with bread? Then also try this delicious focaccia or this hummus bread with sundried tomato.

What you need:

6
500 gr mix for All-in White Bread
by Soezie
300 ml of cold water
6 boiled colored eggs
olive oil
sesame seeds

What to do:

1

Put the bread mix together with the water in a bowl. Knead into a smooth dough for 20 minutes by hand or knead for 10 minutes with a food processor or food processor. Then cover the dough with cling film. Let rise at room temperature for 40 minutes.

2

Remove the dough from the bowl and divide into 12 equal pieces. Form balls. Now roll out each ball with your hands into a long string about 25 centimeters long. Then ‘braid’ two strands together by wrapping them around each other. Connect the ends together to form a round bun. Place on a greased baking sheet and repeat until you have six rolls.

3

Cover the dough again and let rise at room temperature for 30 minutes.

4

Preheat the oven to 220 °C. Press one of the eggs into the center of each bun. Brush the buns with olive oil and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.

5

Bake the buns for 30 minutes at 220 °C. Then remove from the baking tray and let cool on a wire rack.
