Hair salon with sweet potato

20 minutes

A hair saloon is always possible, especially if it's this summer hair saloon with sweet potato, garlic prawns & mango salsa. Not only very tasty and colorful, but also nutritious and packed with amazing ingredients. I personally really love sweet potato and I love making recipes with it. Previously I made this curry with sweet potato and carrot and this sweet potato lasagna. Which one are you going to try?

Capsal with sweet potato, garlic prawns & mango salsa

The kapsalon is a popular fast food meal that originated in the Netherlands. The dish was first created in the city of Rotterdam in the early 2000s. The name "kapsalon" is derived from the Dutch word for kapsalon because the creator of the dish was a barber. The story goes that the barber regularly ordered a meal of shoarma, cheese, and other ingredients from a nearby shoarma store. One day, the owner suggested combining all these ingredients into one dish, and the hair salon was born. The dish quickly became popular in Rotterdam and then spread throughout the rest of the Netherlands. The classic usually consists of fries topped with shoarma, melted cheese, salad, garlic sauce and sometimes sambal or other sauces. You can put your own twist on it as I did with this kapsalon.

What you need:

2
250 gr sweet potato
two handfuls of lamb's lettuce
300 gr fresh mango
1 red pepper
1 red onion
2 cloves of garlic
fresh parsley
1 lime
1 cucumber
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
250 gr large peeled prawns
sriracha mayo
salt and pepper
olive oil
optional: edible flowers

What to do:

1

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and line a baking sheet with baking paper.

2

Clean the sweet potatoes (don't peel them!). Cut into the shape of fries. Mix with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt and pepper and place on baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes until crispy.

3

Meanwhile, make the mango salsa by cutting the cucumber and mango into small cubes. Also chop the onion and finely chop the red pepper and parsley. Mix with some lime juice and a pinch of salt and pepper to make a salsa.

4

Chop the garlic finely and heat some olive oil in a pan. In it, fry the prawns together with the garlic and some sea salt.

5

Make the kapsalon by dividing the fries between the plates. On top, spoon the corn salad and mango salsa along with the garlic shrimp. Top with sriracha mayo and edible flowers. Garnish with additional parsley.
