Orzo with burrata, tomato and bell bell pepper

20 minutes

Today we are making orzo with burrata, tomato and bell bell pepper. Let's start at the beginning. Orzo with burrata. Pasta and cheese. There is no better combination, in my opinion. But what exactly is orzo? Orzo is a popular type of pasta that you often see passing by these days. Its shape is similar to a grain of rice, so I always call it a kind of cross between pasta and rice. In fact, you can also make risotto with it! However, I went for a three-color pasta with red, yellow orange peppers and red, yellow and orange tomatoes. Add basil and burrata and I think you have a match made in heaven! A delicious vegetarian pasta in just a few minutes. Rather try a different dish with orzo? Then go for this fantastic orzo carbonara!

Orzo with burrata

Orzo and burrata together strike a perfect balance between savory and creamy, making them an irresistible combination. Orzo, the pasta type that resembles rice, has a mild, slightly nutty flavor and absorbs flavors easily. This makes it an ideal base for a variety of dishes, from fresh salads to creamy pastas.

Burrata, with its delicate exterior and creamy interior, adds a luxurious texture to orzo dishes. The soft cheese melts slightly with the heat of the orzo, creating a creamy, silky layer that enriches every bite. The mild, buttery flavor of burrata contrasts nicely with spicy or savory additions such as tomatoes, lemon or roasted vegetables.

The versatility of orzo and the creamy, sophisticated touch of burrata create a harmonious dish that offers both comfort and sophistication. A combination you should definitely try! This orzo with burrata, tomato and bell bell pepper is the perfect recipe for that.
