Making healthy ice creams

Healthy peanut butter banana ice creams with dark chocolate are a refreshing and nutritious treat, perfect for hot days when you crave something sweet but also want to be health conscious. These popsicles combine the creamy taste of peanut butter with the natural sweetness of banana and the intense flavor of dark chocolate, providing a delicious balance between sweet and savory.

Peanut butter is rich in healthy fats and protein, making it an excellent choice for an energy boost. Bananas add not only delicious sweetness, but also important vitamins and minerals such as potassium, which is good for your heart and muscles. Dark chocolate offers a rich, antioxidant-rich flavor without the added sugars often found in milk chocolate.

Making these popsicles is easy and quick: mash banana and peanut butter together until smooth, add a little vanilla extract for extra flavor if needed, and pour into ice cream molds. Top the popsicles with dark chocolate pieces for a luxurious touch. Put them in the freezer for a few hours and you have a healthy, refreshing snack that is both delicious and nutritious. Perfect for a guilt-free summer treat!

What you need:

4
2 frozen bananas
1 generous tablespoon of 100% peanut butter
50 ml almond milk
For the topping
75 gr dark chocolate
handful of unsalted peanuts

What to do:

1

Place the bananas along with the peanut butter and milk in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. If it is still too thick for easy pouring, add more milk and blend again just until you reach the desired thickness.

2

Pour the banana mixture into the ice cream molds, put the lid on and insert ice cream sticks. Place in the freezer for at least 4 hours.

3

Melt the chocolate au bain marie and finely chop the peanuts. Remove the popsicles from the molds and drizzle the dark chocolate on top. Top with the peanuts. Place back in the freezer for another 10 minutes to harden.

4

Tip: Hold the bottom of the ice cream molds under the hot tap for a few seconds to easily remove the frozen ice creams.
