In the center of Nijmegen, located on the Van Welderenstraat, you will find the cheese bar of Nijmegen: Bar Socio. I was allowed to capture this beautiful establishment and the menu - consisting of lots of cheese and wine, among other things. Owner Lisa Lucassen knows with her Limburg roots like no other what real Burgundian conviviality means and that can be seen and tasted.
Drinks
In the summer months you will have a great time on the sun-drenched terrace, while in the colder seasons it is extra cozy to take a seat inside. It is a small, cozy bar where you can feel free to linger all afternoon and evening. The menu consists of lots of tasty snacks, including my whipped feta. Owner Lisa put this fabulous dip on the map. What an honor!

We wanted to capture the burgundian atmosphere: the feeling of casual enjoyment, toasting together and forgetting about time. Whether you're sitting outside on the sunny terrace or inside at a cozy table, it's all about good drinks with good wine or special beer and a table full of tasty snacks. It is a place where conviviality comes naturally and where it is easy to strike up a conversation with others - a warm, inviting meeting place for bon vivants.
